yuma leans back against one of the walls, glancing briefly at the bare state of the apartment. of course it's not as cluttered with stuff as his -- yuma has roommates and animals, and has been stuck here for close to a year now -- but the bareness is disconcerting. glances back to shark.]

he's watching shark with those TALK TO ME eyes, which probably still look weird for the cuts around his eyes. they look better now than that first day, but still...]

I just can't get used to the idea of living here. This is a place to sleep, but I don't really stay here during the day.

Everything's cramped and dull. The whole town.

[he opens his hand, staring at his palm, before balling it into a fist again]

This whole place is so monotone, it makes it hard to want to do anything.

Yeah. As soon as you finally do, everything goes to hell. It's... [his eyes once more turn towards the window, showing little more than gray buildings and gray skies. he frowns.]

I'll never like this place.

[he takes a step forward before stopping himself, not really sure what he was going to do or say. the mood had gone sombre, and something needed to be done otherwise it would be still and silent and uncomfortable]

We don't need to like it. We just need to deal with it for now.

No. When I figured out how weird it was, I found out I could kind of control them. Some of them, at least.

I just told them to back off and leave me alone, and then had to call them back because it was bothering people that they couldn't see the fish.
